Legal Ethics

Ethics are the Principles of Conduct Governing an Individual or a Profession
They are the Standards (or Rules) of Behavior Governing that
Individual or Profession

Ethical Rule #1
Legal Representation Must
Reflect the Best Interests of:

The Client
The Court
Society

Ethical Rule #2

Professional Activities, Just Like a House
Require a Foundation for Support
A Profession Lacking a Ethical Foundation
is Unstable

It is unfortunate, but true, that legal representatives often tend to ignore the best interests of the court and society in the process of being their client's advocate.  Such behavior is unethical and can not continue to be condoned.  A higher level of professional conduct combined with greater oversight is needed.
