"Being an 'modern
day leper' shunned by main stream society is difficult enough,
but due to the medical professions denial of a true entity of such a
disease (Chemical Induced Adhesive Arachnoiditis) sufferers are
also finally shunned by partners family and friends making their lives
seem worthless.
Such feelings of not being believed
comes 'hand in hand' with a developing related sense of hopelessness and
helplessness, this feeling is also 'age related' as one ages, one also
starts to 'feel' as one is a burden of those still around them.
Such a feeling of being a burden
suffering from a condition denied as even existing 'its all in their
head' lead for many to consider suicide or retire gracefully into a
nursing home 'out of the way'
of those that have believed the "Professional" rather than
their own love-ones, the same love-one that 'once
cared for them'!
Where has 'unconditional' love gone
Doctor Burton?"
